Comments From Others On the Trip

"All I know is that without Stephanie (our tour guide) it
just wouldn't have been the same. She made the trip and I
think everyone would agree."
-Amanda

"It's strange to imagine never going to countries like France,
Switzerland, and Italy; to never experience the culture
and beauty of it all. The trip proved to me the differences
between ethnic groups, and the importance of travel to fully
understand the differences."
-Leigh McCumber

"What an experience it was to cross the ocean and see the
people and their cultures from the other side of the world.
I had so much fun, and we were lucky to spend our week with
some great people. Vive le France!"
-Kristy

"It seems to me that the most memorable thing about France
was the pure idea that everywhere you were, history followed.
During our last night in Paris (I believe) we went to a small
church that over looked the city. (I don’t remember the name
of the place, but in the end, I hardly think names are what
matter). A friend and I walked the back allies near the
church. It was rather brisk and the light from occasional
street lamps filled the cobble stone streets. As I looked
down upon the winding European walkways, and timeless homes,
my friend exclaimed something to me that I shall never forget.
She said, "Do you know why I feel so at home here? It's
because it was here that Mozart and Picasso walked the streets
- just as we are doing now. They stepped on these same stones,
and looked down at the same lights. This is a city of artists
and it hasn't changed." If anything, her words and the thick
feeling of closeness with the past that I gained from them were
more memorable than anything I have ever encountered."
